Cash Radar Daily Brief — 2026-08-30

Published by Cash Radar.

Eight screened leads for cash now or soon. Availability and eligibility can change; never pay to apply, and only submit claims that are truthful.

1) Fast cash / paid studies

1. Prolific: paid AI and academic studies

  • Why it fits: Prolific specifically recruits participants to evaluate AI, products, and human behavior. Nick’s AI fluency and Gen-X perspective can unlock targeted studies beyond generic surveys.
  • Payout / timing: Real cash via PayPal; the platform requires at least $8/hour and recommends $12/hour. Cash-out starts at $6. There may be a waitlist, so this is a pipeline lead rather than guaranteed same-day money.
  • Link: Join Prolific’s participant waitlist
  • Friction: Low–medium — free signup, identity verification, and possible waitlist; task volume varies by profile.

2. Respondent: professional research interviews

  • Why it fits: A technically articulate AI-agent, automation, VPS/Docker, and creative-tools user is valuable in B2B research. A complete professional profile should outperform a vague consumer profile.
  • Payout / timing: Respondent currently cites roughly $10–$75 for surveys, $25–$100 for unmoderated studies, and $150–$350+ for interviews; screening and selection are not guaranteed. Payment is generally issued after the session is verified.
  • Link: Browse Respondent research projects
  • Friction: Medium — unpaid screeners; apply selectively where Nick can answer from genuine experience.

2) Freelance / contract gigs

3. Harden and test an existing n8n system

  • Why it fits: This is not a greenfield fantasy brief: the client says the workflows already exist and need fixing, hardening, and testing. That maps directly to Nick’s practical automation, debugging, retry, and failure-handling instincts.
  • Payout / timing: $1,500 fixed price, listed two days ago as an expert project. Scope and delivery schedule must be confirmed before accepting.
  • Link: View the Upwork listing
  • Friction: High — competitive proposal plus unknown workflow count; require repository access or a paid discovery milestone before promising a fixed turnaround.

4. AI video editor for DTC ads

  • Why it fits: The stack explicitly includes Sora and Seedance, plus Kling, VEO, HeyGen, and ElevenLabs. The client values human-feeling hooks and feed-native pacing—the editorial judgment Nick already practices.
  • Payout / timing: $500 fixed price, posted August 22, with ongoing/contract-to-hire potential. Clarify how many ads and revision rounds the $500 covers.
  • Link: View the Upwork listing
  • Friction: Medium–high — 20–50 proposals and a short demo may be requested; do not provide a reusable finished ad as unpaid spec work.

5. Long-term AI video editor for an e-commerce brand

  • Why it fits: The brief names Kling, Veo, Sora, and Seedance, and focuses on high-volume hooks rather than glossy demo reels. Tool accounts are supplied, avoiding upfront software spend.
  • Payout / timing: $10–$30/hour, 30+ hours/week, six-plus months, with performance bonuses claimed. Bid near the top because three daily batches means substantial output pressure.
  • Link: View the Upwork listing
  • Friction: High — 20–50 proposals, 16 interviewing, and a demanding pace. Verify paid trial terms, batch definition, and bonus math in writing.

3) Refunds, settlements, and credits

6. Amazon Prime FTC refund claim check

  • Why it fits: Worth searching email and mail if Nick had trouble canceling Prime or was enrolled through a challenged flow between June 23, 2019 and June 23, 2025. Amazon—not the claimant—determines the enrollment-flow criterion.
  • Payout / timing: Eligible customers can receive refunded Prime fees up to $51; claim-stage payments are expected in late 2026. A claim notice is required, and other usage limits apply.
  • Link: Official FTC Amazon refund page
  • Friction: Low if notified — search inbox/spam for the official claim notice; the FTC never charges a fee.

7. Sansone Group data-breach settlement

  • Why it fits: Check only if Nick received notice that his information was involved in Sansone Group’s March 2025 incident. The official portal requires the notice’s LoginID and PIN.
  • Payout / timing: Choose $45 cash without loss documentation or up to $3,500 for documented incident-related losses; two years of credit monitoring is also available. Claim deadline: October 13, 2026. Court approval and processing mean payment will not be immediate.
  • Link: Official Sansone settlement site
  • Friction: Low–medium if eligible — notice credentials required; supporting records are required only for the documented-loss tier.

4) AI / automation side hustle

8. Sell a fixed-price “automation hardening pass”

  • Why it fits: Today’s $1,500 Upwork listing validates a real pain: businesses have brittle workflows already built and need someone to make them dependable. Sell the rescue, not another vague “AI transformation.”
  • Payout / timing: Test a $249 fixed package covering one workflow, a failure-mode map, retries/error alerts, and a 10-minute handoff video. A warm client could close within days; cold outreach may take 1–3 weeks and is not guaranteed.
  • Concrete next action: Turn one sanitized Hermes/n8n-style workflow into a before/after case-study page showing three failure points and the fixes, then send it to five agencies using automation.
  • Link: Use Loom for the handoff sample
  • Friction: Medium — requires proof and outreach, but no ads, inventory, or paid software.

Do today — 45-minute cash move

Build one tight application for the $500 DTC AI-video role: spend 25 minutes selecting three strongest short-form clips, 10 minutes writing a hook-focused proposal, and 10 minutes defining a paid-test boundary. Mention Seedance/Sora fluency, feed-native surrealism, iteration speed, and measurable hook variations—not generic “passion for AI.”

Tiny checklist

  • [ ] Join Prolific or confirm waitlist status
  • [ ] Apply to one high-fit Respondent study—not ten random screeners
  • [ ] Submit one tailored AI-video proposal with three relevant clips
  • [ ] Search email for legitimate Amazon or Sansone notices
  • [ ] Never pay a claim filer or provide unpaid production-ready spec work
