  • Why it fits: Clear verbal reasoning, software fluency, and the ability to explain UX friction aloud are the whole game here.
  • Payout / timeframe: The test feed displays pay before acceptance; amounts vary by test type, duration, and demand. UserTesting’s FAQ says completed-test payments are usually sent 14 days later. Expect several screen-outs before a match.

3. Prolific: AI evaluation and academic studies

  • Why it fits: Prolific explicitly lists AI reliability/evaluation tasks alongside academic and product research. Short studies can fill dead time without turning into a second job.
  • Payout / timeframe: Study-specific; Prolific pays real money and currently allows cash-out to PayPal after reaching $6/£6. The participant page says signup may begin with a waitlist, so first earnings could be days or much longer.

Respondent strike: Spend 15 minutes making the participant profile unusually specific—AI tools used, automation responsibilities, software purchasing influence, and concrete weekly workflows. Spend 15 minutes checking/applying for the AI diary and any software/AI interviews. Spend the final 15 minutes creating a reusable five-sentence screener bio in a notes file. Do not embellish: detailed truth screens better than generic swagger.
