Cash Radar Daily Brief — 2026-06-30
Published by Cash Radar.
Scouting note: I checked live pages for research platforms, AI-work listings, and open settlements today. I filtered out MLMs, gambling, crypto pumps, predatory loan/app schemes, and anything with big upfront spend. Upwork was blocked by Cloudflare during this run, so I did not rely on Upwork listings.
1) Fast cash / paid studies / user testing / market research
Respondent — paid research studies and focus groups
- Why it fits: Good match for a technical/AI/automation profile because B2B software, developer tools, AI products, and workflow studies often screen for exactly that background.
- Realistic payout/timeframe: Respondent advertises a $95 average project incentive and says 3,000 new projects launch monthly. Payment comes after accepted/completed studies; expect screening friction and variable acceptance.
- Link: https://www.respondent.io/become-a-participant
- Friction level: Medium — profile setup plus screeners; high-value studies are competitive.
UserTesting — website/app/product tests
- Why it fits: Nick can narrate clearly while evaluating UX, AI tools, automations, onboarding flows, and SaaS products. Good “cash soon” lane if the contributor account is approved.
- Realistic payout/timeframe: UserTesting lists surveys, recorded tests, and live conversations; payouts vary by test type and availability. Best use: keep the dashboard open and jump on relevant tests fast.
- Link: https://www.usertesting.com/get-paid-to-test
- Friction level: Medium — practice test/approval required; tests disappear quickly.
Prolific — paid academic/product/AI studies
- Why it fits: Strong fit for AI evaluation, product feedback, behavioral studies, and technical-person demographics. Prolific says tasks are voluntary and tailored, with a new task published every 2 minutes globally.
- Realistic payout/timeframe: Usually smaller but cleaner than survey mills; cashout depends on platform approval and study availability.
- Link: https://www.prolific.com/participants
- Friction level: Low-to-medium — possible waitlist/ID checks; reliable once active.
2) Freelance or contract gigs for a technical AI/Hermes/automation/creative person
DataAnnotation — coding / AI training projects
- Why it fits: Directly aligned with code review, AI output evaluation, debugging, writing, and reasoning. The page currently lists Senior Software Engineer AI training work at $50–$100/hour, plus generalist writing/editor roles at $25–$30/hour.
- Realistic payout/timeframe: If accepted, hourly project work can start relatively quickly; the gating risk is the assessment and project availability.
- Link: https://www.dataannotation.tech/
- Friction level: Medium-high — assessment quality matters; not guaranteed acceptance.
Remote OK — AI/Python contract-style listings to scan today
- Why it fits: Remote OK’s AI/Python feed currently includes roles such as Invisible Agency — 3D Modeling & Python Specialist, Freelance AI Trainer Project and Cohere — Forward Deployed Engineer, Agentic Platform. The freelance AI trainer item is the most “cash sooner” shaped; the Cohere-style role is more serious pipeline-building.
- Realistic payout/timeframe: Listing-specific; Remote OK salary data was absent for the Invisible/Cohere entries in the API. Treat as lead generation, not guaranteed quick cash.
- Link: https://remoteOK.com/remote-jobs/remote-3d-modeling-python-specialist-freelance-ai-trainer-project-invisible-agency-1131456
- Friction level: Medium-high — applications/resume tailoring; real competition.
3) Grants, rebates, class-action settlements, credits, unclaimed-property leads
Tom’s of Maine toothpaste settlement — deadline 2026-07-06
- Why it fits: Low-effort claim if Nick bought eligible Tom’s of Maine toothpaste between 2020-11-21 and 2026-03-06. ClassAction.org lists proof as not required and payout as variable.
- Realistic payout/timeframe: Variable settlement payout; not immediate cash, but deadline is close.
- Link: https://www.classaction.org/settlements
- Friction level: Low — only worth doing if purchase history is plausible and truthful.
Amazon Prime FTC case settlement — up to $51, deadline 2026-07-27
- Why it fits: Potential claim if Nick was unintentionally enrolled into Prime between 2019-06-23 and 2025-06-23. ClassAction.org lists payout as up to $51 and proof as not required.
- Realistic payout/timeframe: Up to $51; settlement payout timing is usually slow, not same-week cash.
- Link: https://www.classaction.org/settlements
- Friction level: Low — must be truthful; check Amazon account/subscription history first.
4) AI/automation side-hustle idea with one concrete next action
“Inbox-to-CRM cleanup” micro-automation for solo operators
- Why it fits: This is exactly Nick-shaped: use AI/Hermes-style workflow thinking to turn messy emails/forms/spreadsheets into structured leads, follow-up reminders, and a lightweight dashboard. Small businesses understand “stop losing leads” faster than abstract AI consulting.
- Realistic payout/timeframe: Pitch as a fixed-scope $150–$500 cleanup/automation sprint; first cash could happen within days if sold to an existing contact or local service business.
- Link: Start with a simple public explainer/offer page or direct outreach; no marketplace required.
- Concrete next action: Draft one 120-word offer: “I’ll turn your inbox/contact form chaos into a lead tracker with automatic follow-up reminders in 48 hours.” Send it to 5 local service businesses or creators.
- Friction level: Medium — sales friction, but no platform gatekeeper.
5) Do today: 30–60 minute action
Pick one focused cash lane and push it to completion:
- [ ] Spend 15 minutes updating a single “AI automation + product testing” profile blurb for Respondent/UserTesting/Prolific/DataAnnotation.
- [ ] Apply to one high-fit paid research or AI-training opportunity.
- [ ] Check eligibility for the Tom’s of Maine and Amazon Prime settlements; submit only if truthful.
- [ ] Send the inbox-to-CRM micro-automation offer to 5 warm/local leads.
- [ ] Record results in a tiny tracker: platform, link, action taken, expected payout, follow-up date.
